Today's Tip
Today is the Fourth of July!
It's a holiday here in the
United States.  We often
celebrate by setting off
firecrackers and fireworks.

Today, let's do a fireworks finger exercise.  Fireworks shoot up into the sky as tiny little rockets, then explode into great big displays.  Imitate a firework exploding with your hands.  Start with your hand clenched tightly in a fist, then suddenly pop it wide open as quickly as you can and shut it right back again.  The end of the show is almost always 20 or 30 big explosions in a row.  Try flashing your hand open and closed as quickly as you can to imitate the end of a fireworks show!  This will help you learn to move your fingers really quickly, which is very important in some violin pieces.

Happy Independence Day!
