Smile when you play your violin!

Not only do you look a whole lot nicer, it tends to release tension in your jaw.  (And we know that tension is your enemy when you play.)

But this is more than physical, there is an attitude adjustment that occurs with the smile!  When you relax you will probably find that you are more likely to successfully complete passages which require dexterity or a light touch. 

So relax, smile, have a good time and your violin playing will improve.
