Here in the United States it is Summer.
I don't know about you, but I sweat a lot. I even sweat when I am playing the violin. And when that happens, guess where the sweat goes! That's right, I sweat on my violin.
It is important to clean up your instrument after you play it. Clean it every time! It only takes a moment to take a lint free cloth (which you should have with the rest of the supplies that you carry around) and wipe the violin's belly, the fingerboard and the neck. And don't forget to wipe the stick of your bow, too! If you don't keep it clean this way, you'll have to do some major cleaning later on! |
