January 1, or New Year's Day, is a day that we traditionally make resolutions or set goals for the year. 

This year I hope you resolve to have the best violin year ever.  That means:

1. Doing your best every time you pick up the instrument.

2. Remembering that playing the violin should be fun . . . and having fun while you play.

3. Sharing your talent with someone.

4. Thanking all those who help you learn and play.
