Today's Tip
As we approach the end of the year it is time to look to the new year and how we can make it even better than this year regarding our violin playing.

One of the things that I like to do is look over the materials that I have acquired over the course of the year and see what things I need to keep, what things I need to discard, and how I am going to store the things that I have.  Music that I will never play again should go away.  That may mean the trash.  That may mean the garage sale box.  That may mean the public library.  That may mean giving it to your teacher so that it can be passed on to other students.

Another thing to take into account at this time is the state of repair (or disrepair) of your instrument and accessories.  Is it time for a new music stand?  Does your bow need rehairing.  Do you need new rosin?

Take care of these things and get off to a great start this coming year!
