|If you feel that you may be playing a piece out of tune, try playing it very softly. It is often easier to tell if a note is in tune if it is played quietly, not blasting in your ear.
Also, remember that playing a note in tune matters in context with the surrounding notes. If you play a note perfectly in tune, but the notes all around it are are all a half-step sharp or flat, the note that is in tune will sound wrong, while the others will sound right!
The lesson there is don't just play the measure that you are working on. Start a few measures early and work your way into it, then keep going for a few measures more!
