|Summer's drawing nigh! We are beginning to come to the end of the school year. This is a critically important period to many students. The problem is that as we reach the summer months many students are going to stop practicing!
No, I understand that you wouldn't do that! You probably double your practice time when you are not actively involved in lessons, but others are not quite as strong as you. (Just kidding, of course!)
Since many students will be away from their teachers, it is important that we firm up as many skills as possible NOW so that when lessons start again at the end of the summer we only have to go back a half a step instead of four steps.
DILIGENCE IN PRACTICE NOW IS CRITICAL!
GOOD SOLID PRACTICES ARE IMPORTANT!
If you play in an orchestra, you may find that the work you put in now will move you up a chair or two in your section. Does the word "concertmaster" sound nice right after your name?
Or maybe you'll just enjoy being better on the instrument!
