Celtino Foundaton Not a music site, but definitely worth a look. This is an organization founded by Scottish Fiddler Bonnie Rideout and her husband Jesus Medrano that funds schools in rural Honduras. Virtual Bluegrass Band This is a wonderful web site produced by Dave Marshall. It contains MIDI accompaniments to many tunes some of us already know. Totally free! Great for practice, figuring out how to play some of our favorite tunes, or just plain fun! The link goes right to his Tune List, but explore what he's got there. (Maybe we can convince him to put down the banjo and pick up the fiddle!) |

Hans Nikolaos Pluhar Hans Nikolaos Pluhar is a luthier who lives in England. Very pretty instruments. He has a nice website with interesting pictures in the Work in Progress section. He has a recording of Erich Höbarth playing the Adagio of J.S.Bach's g-minor Sonata on one of his violins! Maybe next Christmas (hint! hint!)... Watch for an article about him. Maybe Gül, his new wife who plays the viola, will be kind enough to answer a few questions as well!!! |
